I have been following the writings and musings of Mark Sayers for the past few years and doing so has truly helped me think through a lot of the things I struggle with and raise questions with me.

This book, the Vertical Self is eye-opening for people like me, who worry about direction self, society and church seem to take. Is this really where we should be going? Probably not. Most likely not, but are there any real alternatives?

Sayers shows us that God has created with a purpose and want us to understand the purpose of his creation in becoming more like our true selves. We are called to be a holy people. Not Christian dorks or self-hating killjoys, but the true images of God.

The Vertical Self is a book written to challenge us, to inspire us and to give us hope. It did so for me and I recommend you to check this book out.
